This will prevent Seraph Secure from alerting for and blocking the specified software. You can add programs to your Allow List from the Seraph Secure application itself. Premium users can also: * add websites to their Allow List * manage the Allow List from their Seraph Secure account dashboard. Warning! However, at this time, the software only has English language support. Our advanced heuristics use pattern recognition to protect against thousands of known scam websites. Scammers often design their scams for an English- speaking audience, but they also create many international versions using the same general techniques and templates. So, although we don't specifically support languages other than English, Seraph Secure is still able to identify and block many non-English scams in this way. You can have up to two guardians on your Seraph Secure account. The account holder and any assigned guardians will receive an email and, optionally, a text message whenever there is a threat detected on one of your devices. ### **_How to add a guardian to your account:_** 1) From your [**_Account Dashboard_**](https://www.seraphsecure.com/dashboard/), click on **Profile** in the upper right corner and then select **Guardians** on the navigation bar. 2) Fill in the guardian's name and email, then click the **Add Guardian** button. Url: https://help.seraphsecure.com/privacy-security/browser-closing --- Some webpages contain malicious code that can render your browser completely unresponsive, requiring a full restart to recover. For example, some fake virus popup pages will lock up your browser, or even your entire computer, making it impossible to navigate away from the page. To avoid this, if you visit one of these pages, Seraph Secure will force your browser to close and you will see this message: Clicking [Restart my browser] will restart your browser and attempt to restore your session (any tabs you had open, except the malicious one). To close the window without restarting your browser, click [OK]. You can later restart your browser manually, and select "Restore" if prompted. Seraph Secure already runs in the background of you device to actively scan for and block remote connections. If you have received an alert that remote control software is running on your computer, you may need to run a manual scan to uninstall the remote control software. ▶ Open the Seraph Secure **Home** screen (See [_How To: Open the Home screen_](/home-screen)). ▶ Click **Manual Scan** on the left of the **Home** screen. ▶ On the **Manual Scan** screen, click **Run manual scan**. ▶ (**On Windows**) If prompted "**Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?** ", click **Yes**. ▶ (**On Mac**) When prompted, enter your password and click **OK**. ▶ Click **Continue**. ▶ Click **Continue** ▶ The Threat Scanner will list any Remote Control files and programs which are installed or running. ▶ Uncheck any programs which should _NOT_ be removed. ▶ Click **Remove** to remove/uninstall the checked programs. ▶ Once the threats have been removed, click **Close** to close the Threat Scanner ▶ If no threats were detected, click **Close** to close the Threat Scanner --- Title: How To: Open the Home screen Url: https://help.seraphsecure.com/how-to/home-screen --- The Home screen is the default screen of the Seraph Secure app. #### Premium version Home screen #### Free version Home screen ## To open the Home screen on Windows ▶ Find the Seraph Secure shield icon in the Windows system tray. If there is no **Link Device** button, you are already on the Premium version. ▶ On the **Link Device to Account** screen, enter the **Device Code** and click **Link to account**. When Protection is paused, you will be able to visit websites, install programs, and run programs which would normally be blocked. Warning! In addition to your password, Seraph Secure will require a One- Time Password (OTP) from an authenticator when you sign in to your dashboard. Important! Keep your one-time password and recovery codes secret * Only enter your one-time password or recovery codes on the Seraph Secure website * Do not share them with anyone * Seraph Secure support will never ask for your one-time password or recovery codes ## How to enable MFA ▶ Sign in to your [_Seraph Secure Dashboard_](https://www.seraphsecure.com/dashboard/) ▶ Go to your **Profile** ▶ Select the **Password & Security** tab ▶ Scroll down to **Multi-Factor Authentication** ▶ Click **Start Multi-Factor Authentication Setup** A QR code will be displayed ▶ Scan the QR code with your authenticator Alternatively, click **Set up manually instead** and enter the code shown on your authenticator ▶ Enter the **One-Time Password** from your authenticator ▶ Click **Enable Multi-Factor Authentication** You should see**"** Multi-factor authentication has been enabled for your account." and a list of six Recovery Codes. **🖂** You will also receive a "Seraph Secure: Multi-Factor Authentication has been enabled" email. ▶ **Write down your Recovery Codes and keep them in a safe place** You will need them if you lose access to your authenticator. They will only be shown once. Learn more about Recovery Codes When you enable MFA, six Recovery Codes (8-digit numbers) will be shown. If you lose access to your authenticator, a Recovery Code can be used to sign in to your account, or to disable MFA. Each Recovery Code can only be used once. **🖂** When a Recovery Code is used for your account, you will also receive a "Seraph Secure: Recovery Code used for Multi-Factor Authentication" email. ## How to disable MFA ▶ Sign in to your [_Seraph Secure Dashboard_](https://www.seraphsecure.com/dashboard/) ▶ Go to your **Profile** ▶ Select the **Password & Security** tab ▶ Scroll down to **Multi-Factor Authentication** ▶ Click **Disable Multi-Factor Authentication** ▶ Enter the **One-Time Password** from your authenticator ▶ Click **Disable** If you no longer have access to your authenticator, you can use one of your Recovery Codes. You should see "Multi-factor authentication has been disabled successfully." **🖂** You will also receive a "Seraph Secure: Multi-Factor Authentication has been removed" email. ## Can I use email or text messages for MFA? No, email and text messages (SMS) are less secure than using an authenticator. They cannot be used for MFA on your Seraph Secure account. ## Help!
